I am an English teacher, certified grades 6-12, holding both a Gifted Certificate and Specialist's Degree in Instructional Technology.  With 12 years of classroom experience,  I have employed varied strategies in which to support and tutor students both inside and outside of the classroom setting.  

 

I specialize in  writing support and editing, as well as ACT & SAT preparation for the reading, writing and English sections of the tests. Additionally,  I am available to work with middle school, high school and college students who want support with College admission essays,and  writing assignments, even for college-level courses.

As an experienced English/Language Arts teacher, I also support grammar studies, literature studies, reading skills, proofreading and editing, as well as writing idea generation, organization and stylistic formatting (both MLA and APA).  

 

I pride myself on being responsive to inquiries and make it a point to listen to a student's needs and build a respectful, collaborative relationship with those I work with.

I am available for both online and face-to-face tutoring sessions.  I primarily tutor those from grade 6 through college, including adults who are returning to school after a hiatus.
